Persons with visual or mobility impairments

It's easy to travel with the Arlanda Express. There are no vertical variations between the trains and the platforms. At Arlanda, you can take a lift directly between the platforms and air terminals.

Persons with mobility impairments who are confined to wheel-chairs and those with visual impairments may be accompanied by an assistant free of charge. A special area for wheelchairs an a spacious WC with a nursery table are located in one of the mid-train carriages of each train.

Guide dogs may accompany their owners at no additional cost in all carriages on the Arlanda Express.
 

Assistance
The Arlanda Express provides assistance from our platforms at Arlanda Airport to the respective terminals and airlines. Tell our train attendant when beginning the journey if you need assistance from the station to the terminal. They will then help you to arrange that. There are also so called "pick up points" at our stations at Arlanda where you can arrange assistance via intercom.

If travelling to Arlanda by air, please contact your airline for assistance in reaching the Arlanda Express station. Travellers arriving at Stockholm Central Station with other railway companies for transfer to the Arlanda Express are requested to call SJ customer service at + 46 771 75 75 99 more info>>

Special transport services
You can travel with the Arlanda Express using your special transport services card from the Stockholm County Civil. Go to our ticket office at Stockholm Central Station first to receive a ticket that is valid onboard the train. Please note that tickets are only available at the Arlanda Express ticket office at Stockholm Central Station.

If someone will be accompanying you, please notify the ticket office before beginning your journey. The journey is paid for afterwards via an invoice along with other special transport services. Please call Special Transport Services at +46 8 720 80 80 if you have any questions.


Baggage
Our trains are built to be sufficiently spacious and comfortable for all sorts of air travellers with all types of baggage - from small briefcases to extra large suitcases. Place your baggage in the roomy baggage racks located at each carriage door. For reasons of safety, please keep the aisles and doors free from baggage.

The highest permitted weight per item is determined by your airline.



Starting in June 2009, LFV is offering automatic check-in at Arlanda Express at Stockholm Central Station.

The offering is for a trial period and will initially comprise the airlines Norwegian, Finnair and Höga Kusten. Check-in will follow the same procedures as at Arlanda, with a boarding card and baggage tag. When the passenger arrives at Arlanda, the baggage is left at the appropriate airline’s bag drop counter. If you are flying with Finnair, your baggage tag will be provided at the bag drop. 

For those of you travelling with large/heavy baggage please take the lift instead of the escalator to avoid accidents.

Prams/wheelchairs
There is a specially designated space for wheelchairs and prams in one of the train's mid-train carriages.

Bikes
We observe the airline's guidelines when it comes to bikes. Bikes need not to be packaged, but keep in mind that they must be placed so that they don't prevent other passengers or personnel from passing.

Pets
If travelling with a dog or other smaller pet, it must be kept in a cage or equivalent enclosure as stipulated by your airline. If you have a pet with you, we ask that you sit in one of the train's mid-train carriages, identified on the outside with a pets-permitted sticker, so as not to cause discomfort to persons with allergies. This does not apply, however, to guide dogs for those with visual impairmments who may naturally ride in any carriage.

Dangerous goods
As a passenger on the Arlanda Express, you are always responsible for your baggage, just as when you fly. This entails that you may not carry dangerous goods or objects that can injure or cause inconvenience and discomfort to other passengers, or to Arlanda Express.

HOW TO BOOK THE 2 FOR SEK 280 DISCOUNT TICKET

Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and certain campaign periods (e.g. summer and christmas), two adults travel together for only SEK 280, single journey. Bring up to four children 0-17 yrs for free.

You can buy the 2 for SEK 280 discount ticket here at the website. The ticket is not available as a specific ticket category, but when you book two adult tickets for periods when the discount applies, this ticket option will appear automatically in step 3.

Then you can choose either full price tickets (reebookable) - or the discount ticket (non rebookable).

HOW TO BOOK WEEKEND RETURN TICKET

Thursday or Friday in combination with Saturday or Sunday (same weekend), one adult travels on a return ticket for only SEK 325. Bring up to four children 0-17 yrs for free.

You can only buy the ticket here at the website. The ticket is not available as a specific ticket category, but when you book a return ticket according to the terms above this ticket option will appear automatically in step 3. Then you can choose a Weekend Return ticket SEK 325 (non rebookable) – or a full price ticket (rebookable) for SEK 460.

LOGIN
The first time you buy a ticket online, you don't have to log in. In the payment step (step 5), you are asked to state an e-mail address and a password to use the next time you buy a ticket. The reason for registering as a user is that our tickets are rebookable. Once logged in, you can easily rebook journeys, print receipts and see you order history.

If you previously have bought tickets online, this is where you log in with your e-mail address and the password you stated the first time you bought tickets. If you have forgotten your password, just click on the link and we will send a random password to the e-mail address you stated. Please log in and choose another password of your own choice.
