Accessibility on Arlanda express
We want everyone to enjoy a smooth and comfortable journey. Below is everything you need to know about how we facilitate travel for passengers using wheelchairs, those requiring assistance, or those traveling with assistance dogs.
Traveling with a wheelchair or powerchair
Our trains and platforms are level, making boarding and disembarking easy.
Ramps: If you would like extra support, simply ask our staff to deploy a ramp between the train and the platform.
Priority Spaces: Dedicated spaces for wheelchairs and powerchairs are located in one of the middle carriages of every train. An accessible toilet is also located nearby.
At Arlanda: Lifts are available to take you directly between the platform and the airport terminals.
Companion discounts
We offer free travel for companions. While passengers with disabilities pay the standard fare, one companion is always welcome to travel with you free of charge.
Stockholm Special Transport (Färdtjänst)
If you are a member of the Stockholm Region "Färdtjänst" service, you can use your transport card on Arlanda Express.
No Pre-booking Needed: Simply show your card to the train conductor on board.
Payment: You will be invoiced later, along with your other "Färdtjänst" trips.

Booking assistance
To ensure your journey is as seamless as possible, we recommend booking assistance in advance:
Traveling to Arlanda
Transferring from another train line: If you are arriving at Stockholm Central via another rail operator, please contact SJ Customer Service at +46 771-75 75 99.
Arriving by taxi: To arrange assistance from your taxi to the Arlanda Express platform, contact our Customer Service at kundservice@arlandaexpress.se or +46 771-720 200 at least 24 hours before departure (Mon–Fri, 08:15–16:45).
From the train to your flight: For guaranteed assistance at Arlanda Airport, you must book through your airline at least 48 hours before departure. Our train conductors can assist you to a "Help Point" at the airport, where your pre-booked assistance will meet you.
No pre-booking? Ask the conductor and they will try to arrange help on the spot (wait times may occur).
Traveling to Stockholm
From the flight to Arlanda Express: Contact your airline to arrange assistance all the way down to our platform.
From the train to onward travel (train, taxi, or bus): Contact our Customer (contact details in footer)
Assistance dogs
Certified assistance dogs travel free of charge. They are welcome in all parts of the train and are not restricted to the designated "pet-friendly" sections.
Luggage assistance at Stockholm Central
Stockholm Central Station offers a free Porter Service to help with your bags.
Availability: Daily from 08:00 to 18:00.
How to book: Call +46 8-441 02 40 no earlier than 30 minutes before your train’s arrival or departure. This service cannot be booked further in advance.
